The 2020 Giro d’Italia Ride Like A Pro Yangtze River Delta Open announced that it will come back on November 21-22 with comprehensive upgrades.

In 2020, the road race will extend from Qingpu to Jiashan and Wujiang, and the total length will be up from 70 km to 89 km. This years Open will be the first-ever large-scale mass participation sports event in the demonstration zone of green and integrated ecological development of the Yangtze River Delta, as well as a highly influential cycling race and sports carnival in the region.

Giro ditalia Ride Like A Pro, as a flagship project of the Giro d’Italia, is a super sports IP with a wide range of fans around the world.

The first day of the 2020 Open is a lap race, divided into 5 categories: Master Group, Open Group, Youth Group (new), Family Fun Riding and Team Time Trial. The venue is located on Dianshan Lake Avenue in Qingpu District with a beautiful view. The course design takes into full consideration the capability of competitors of all ages and at all professional levels.

The second day will be a road cycling race for Master Group and Open Group, where dozens of top Chinese cyclists will be invited to chase each other along the fantastic track. With a total length of 89 km, the race starts and ends in Qingpu District, passing through Zhujiajiao, Jiashan County of Zhejiang Province and Fen Hu High-tech Industrial Development Zone of Jiangsu Province. Participants can fully enjoy the amazing cultural and natural scenery along the track in the demonstration zone of Yangtze River Delta. The entire road race will continue to be covered by high-standard global live broadcasting team to show the world the spiritual outlook of Chinese cyclists and the elegant landscape of the area.

In addition to various competitions, the wonderful Cycling Carnival will also come back even better. People can enjoy a wealth of performances, games, activities and food & beverage like specialites from Qingpu, Wujiang and Jiashan on spot. The main stage will feature dialect rappers, folk and rock singers and dynamite dancing crews. Meanwhile, a cycling experiencing area with bike trainers will be set up at the Carnival. The audience will have the opportunity to participate in an virtual challenge with pro legends, like Contador and explore the fun of cycling.
